EducationFlorida State University - Bachelors, Food and Nutrition Science
ExperienceMy adaptable tutoring style is effective in one-on-one and group settings. I obtained a B.S. in Food and Nutrition Science from Florida State University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude and was a certified tutor. While working at the Academic Center for Excellence, I covered subjects as diverse as biology, physiology, anatomy, chemistry, organic chemistry, and biochemistry as well as Spanish, nutrition, and statistics. I also proofread essays. Chemistry classes are my favorite to tutor because I personally developed useful study skills from them.I like to engage students by asking questions, which enables them to solve problems independently. Education, I believe, is essential for finding success and feeling both physical and mental accomplishment. There shouldn't ever be any barriers to the education one strives for. I am new to standardized test prep, but have the knowledge to instill effective studying strategies, provide topical exam practice, and help find free resources.Another fact about me: I was on the speech/debate team in high school and even won a few awards for it. Currently, I'm interviewing for medical school and feel confident because I scored well on the new MCAT. I still find time for hobbies including cooking, painting, drawing, and jogging.
